snowboarding/skateboarding in november...

...is fun!

these past few weekends ive been hittin' up some rail jams, and its been some good times! snowboarding is pretty much less than a month away. 7springs says their gonna try n open by thanksgiving! saweeeet!

yea on the other hand, not-so-saweeet for skateboarding. its pretty much over except the indoor skateboarding which is pretty non-existant in pittsburgh these days unless your down with some private crew...

share the wealth!!! theres plenty of us out here dieing in the cold just to get some shred on the wood stick... b-cubed has retarded hours that makes it impossible, and pipes for lack of better discription sucks...(the people that run it are cool tho! sry!)

so yeah... anyone wanna let me skate their private indoor stuff????

this weekend is the Motown Throwdown, apparently FUEL TV is gonna make a show out of this if its big enough....50 bucks to enter and its down a 25 set....damnnn.

thennn the following weekend ,the 14th i believe ,in Oakland at the cathedral, PIST is putting on the annual PIST rail jam. Its kind of a private event but if you hit up www.pistsnowboarding.com im sure you can find some way to get in... ;)

and the final one i know about so far is the Peak Ski Center out in Monroville, PA called "rock my box." Sounds more like a hook up than a comp. haha. but anywho.... if you gotz facebook look here.... rock my boxxx its 12pm to 6pm on 640 center rd.

i've been getting wayyy pumped on this years snow season. its gonna be sick. Vermont and Pa is suppose to be hit the hardest with snow out of all the other states. gnarly.

philly trip

just got back from a trip to Philly with Zak, and Jeremy.... and man, love park is sweet. Had a ton of fun this time skateing it even tho we had to wait for cops to leave and then only to be kicked out 2 hours later....But whatever we got to skate it, and got some sweet footy.... still cant belive zak tryed the 12 stiar... Fdr on the other hand is a different story...the locals there suck balls.

first thing when we roll up to the park we get hassled because of Ohio license plates sayin' "you pay the park fee yet?" rightt. then some dude hasslein' us to help build the park and donate money for concrete.(sry dident drive 5 n a half hours to BUILD) finally we get to skate it and after about an hour or so the gay ass locals there trash the place with beer bottles, aka glass everywhere, because a few people wouldn't help make their stupid loveseat bowl thingy that no ones prolly even going to skate....

ohh and almost forgot the cecil d moore spot at temple was sick too...

well just today i skated in a really fun contest at diesel night club. it was called "red bull mini mania" and there were fog machines, strobe lights, and other crazy lights you had to get blinded by constantly. but over all it was a blast!! props danny!

speaking of contests.....HEAD BOARD SHOP is putting on a killer Halloween contest this october 31st at B CUBED skatepark. its gonna be rad! local bands, cash prizes for best costume, and first places (beginner, intermediate, advanced). more info about the contest soon!!

Ohh and if anyone even cares or has herd of chromeo... their doin' a east coast tour, and philly is one of the stops! so meet me there n 2-step into the night!

hey long time no see.

I haven't had internet for emmm about a month er so kinda feels weird... but i'm back in the 21st century with internet in the time being. In other news i think im putting together a halloween contest for Head Board shop, so be on the lookout. If everything goes as planned it will be at b cubed skatepark around halloween. Batmans, Pirates, and sexy nurses all welcome to shred for some cash prizes and what not. prolly a few raffles as well! so as soon as i hear back from b cubed ill post the dates n what not. in the meantime...go shred!!!

so dont know what to think of this but i guess mr. smalls and 105.9 the X are putting on a two day skate/ music thing. its on July 25 & 26. from the looks of it the 25th you register for the qualifying competition (which is 40 frekin' dollars by the way) and skate in the qualifying round that day. Then if your good enough. come back the 26th you skate against the people who qualified plus pros? wonder what pros? most likely some washed up dudes. but whatever. yeah go to www.mrsmalls.com for finer detail....

i remember when skateboarding was about....

...HAVING FUN!?! Not about being the best, being the sickest, or the coolest. it was about meeting up at the local spot hangin out with your buddies and above all having a good time. i mean yeah sure progression and getting better is good, but skateboarding these days needs a few more louie's in the scene.

life 45 mins away from pittsburgh.

is kinda weird. just went to a skatepark in cranberry township and man... i think it was on my top five for worst park ever... but yah know what i had fun, with a broken skateboard at that! met one really cool guy and then 2 not so cool, trying way to hard to BE cool, kids came and made me realize skateboarding is getting too popular. so that was that. Did my trix, snapped my broken board, and went on my way.

well in the spirit of Fathers Day i ran accross a video of a dad that just LOVES skateboarders and what they do. watch him pull his dog down a flight of stairs just to tackle a little kid....your skateboarding where your not suppose to and your waxing up bricks!!! youve been warned!! hahaha.



ok and my response to that is your tackling little kids dragging your dog around and threatening people, all in front of your little kids. nice one dad.

hrmm. so went to oakland on semple st. and there was most likely about 1,000 people or more there blocking off anyway for a car to even think about moving... no joke. guess it was called semple fest. pretty much was talkin to madddd ladys with my boi's and watchin couches/other random things get burnt in the middle of the road. pretty much riot/craziest party ever.

this weekend.....

pretty much takes the cake. went to three parties when i only remember the first one...drank a craploada tequila, lost the car, then an hour later found it went to mcdonalds sprained my ankle and went home. haha.

because it sux. i stayed up till about 5'oclock working on projects and started at around 2 pm. so yeah thats 15 hours of editing? Screw that. it sucked. schools over and now i can finally lift the weight off the back.

hrmm so pretty much my weekend was a roller coaster ride of everything from smashed shins, hurt feelings, head aches, hangovers, dissapointment, anger, epicness, happiness, and every other emotion of the rainbow. Including purple!

yo so pretty much the south sides gonna have mad mini ramps all over now it sounds....one up's gonna have a mini, the panza brothers print shop i guess is gonna have a mini, and andy over at headboard is gonna have some sorta mini (if we ever get the basement clean!) so pretty much watch that cheeze n crackers vid and get down to the southside this summer. ohhhh almost forgot. skate bus at headboard is gonna be sickkkkkk, a van that buses skaters to different skate parks at a given time all throughout the summer. im gonna finish my cheeze stick and pass out now.
